Two-meter telescope crowdfunding campaign ft. Muki Cat

(This event has ended)

Estuary Planetarium x Muki Cat's Beadings
Astronomy Popularization Booth

We invite you to join us in learning about astronomy and raising funds for the 2-meter telescope!

Location: Teaching and Research Building, National Central University

Date and Time: 2026/06/28-07/03, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

What is Taiwan's largest telescope, and where is it located?

The 1-meter telescope at Lulin Observatory.

Which profession needs the most comfort?

Astronomers, because they need to observe the stars (and care) XD

Now, Taiwan's astronomical community really needs everyone's attention.

Taiwan's astronomical community is working hard to build a "two-meter astronomical telescope" that is even larger than the Lulin one-meter telescope.

The two-meter telescope's body has been completed in Japan! Next, it will travel to Mexico to connect with the Lulin Telescope and achieve the goal of observing the universe 24 hours a day!

However, we do not yet have enough funds to build it a shelter from the wind and rain.

To help this telescope be installed and enable Taiwan's astronomy to take a big step forward, we need your support.

We "Estuary Planetarium" is collaborating with "Muki Cat's Beadings" and several students who love astronomy. We will be setting up a booth next week. We have prepared exquisite merchandise, and we welcome everyone to come and learn about astronomy and embark on a new milestone for Taiwanese astronomy!

We all walk under the same moon

Cause we all live under the same sky

We all look up at the same stars
